RESPONSIBILITY

At andau, we are committed to responsible practices throughout each area of our business. We carefully consider every step of our production process, from the initial design concept to the packaging of the final product.

Sustainability is an evolutionary process. Perfect doesn’t exist but we strive to get as close to it as possible. We’ve made it a habit to continually review our processes in pursuit of even more favourable options that lessen our impact.

Ethical local production

We are proud to be 100% Australian made. Local production was something that was important to us since the inception of the brand. We believe in partnering with suppliers and manufacturers who share the same views and commitment towards ethical and sustainable practices. Every andau piece is diligently created by local Sydney seamstresses. We insist on a hands-on approach – producing locally means we can personally visit all of the teams that help andau come to life.

In order to reduce textile waste, only limited quantities of each design are released. It’s better for the environment, and means you own a special piece.

Our fabrics

Fabric sourcing is one of our most meticulous processes - we are mindful to select fabrics and trims according to their durability, functionality and care requirements. In order to minimise overconsumption, we prioritise the use of deadstock fabrics - excess fabric that would otherwise end up in landfill. We also source organic and recycled fabrics where possible. The fabric details and compositions for each design are clearly listed in the product description.

Our packaging

We seal your andau orders in 100% recycled ocean bound plastic pollution garment bags and ship them in biodegradable packaging.

andau swing tags and thank you cards are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper.

We thank you for joining us on this journey to create a wardrobe that works for you and our planet.
